A Day with Host Family

Melayan anak-anak
Happy. That flower can sing and dance

Mila pun free masa tu. Enjoy...makan pun banyak.

Okasan teringin nak belajar masak tomyam...jadi kami masak beramai-ramai. Otosan kata rasanya lain sikit dari tomyam yang biasa dia makan di Thailand...jadi dapatlah gelaran tomyam Klang aji (Klang taste).

Okaasan pula masak ikan masak kicap Japanese style...oishiikatta.

Saujana mata memandang.

Finally....Naka Dake's crater

Naka-dake, the active crater
Meaning of the kanji words:The only one in the world

View all 24 photos...
Mt. Aso is located in northwest of Kumamoto Prefecture. Naka Dake (inside Mt. Aso) is an active crater. It has produced more explosive eruptions than any other volcano in the world. It is said that most eruptions are small to moderate in size, only produced ash and blocks, not lava flows in historic time.

In old time, the people have respected it as a holy mountain and called the crater "shirei ike" (spirit lake) or "mi ike" (respectful lake). Each time explosion happened, they trembled with the fear of a god's anger or an evil spell. During our visit, we saw how they pray in front of the volcano's crater......chanting some sort of mantra.

Quote:

Kawasan ini memang menarik sepanjang musim....banyak kenangan manis di sini.....our favourite place in Kyushu

Famiglia bellissima, congratulazioni!

The beautifulst family, congratulations!

Parking banyak kosong. Pengunjung pun tak ramai. Cuaca sejuk. Tambahan pula ramalan bahawa salji akan turun lebat.

view mmg cantik....nice shots bro Tue 24-Jan-2006 07:49

New Year's Day Celebration (Oshougatsu)

Traditionally in Japan, New Year's Day is celebrated for one week. From 1st January till the 7th.
While young people prefer to celebrate oshougatsu with their friends, many still enjoy it with families and relatives. This is the time when family and relative can get together after one year separated for many reasons...career, study and so forth.

Quote:
We went to Watanabi san's house to experience how New Year is celebrated here (called oshougatsu). Although it was a bit late, but still in a New Year's mood.

Eid ul-adha in Ritsumeikan APU

Khusyuk mendengar khutbah Haji
View all 5 photos...
As in other places around the globe, Eid ul-adha is also celebrated in APU. In the Student Hall.
Just a simple one. Start with takbir raya, congregation prayer of thanks, and then follow by little refreshment.
Not all came, as it was a class day.

Quote:
Hanna tak ada dalam gambar. Nak sangat ke sekolah. Kebetulan hari persekolahan baru bermula selepas cuti winter.

Thank you, Eid ul-mubarak to you too. Thu 12-Jan-2006 06:37
